In partnership with Madison College Reedsburg, leadership from Reedsburg Area Medical Center presented a $2,000 scholarship to Angela Colvin of Lyndon Station on Jan. 12.
Colvin will enter her second semester of the nursing program at the Madison College Reedsburg campus this spring.
A farmer appreciation lunch will be held Feb. 5 at Chapparal Restaurant in Wonewoc.
The Farmer Angel Network invites farmers, farm families, and community supporters to gather for the free midday meal, which will include a moment of recognition.

In the early days on Sauk County farms, water requirements were essential for the animals and in farmhouses for cooking, drinking and bathing. Initially, that water was obtained using a hand-operated pump. Often times it was up to the young farm boys to pump the handle on a daily basis to provide the needed water.
The Sauk County Land Resources and Environment Department will hold a stakeholder meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 27 and 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 28 at the Sauk County West Square Building, Room B24, 505 Broadway St., Baraboo.
