Jingle Mingle 2025 raises more than $32k for charity

Viking Liquor of Reedsburg hosted its annual Jingle Mingle Bourbon Auction on Dec. 6, continuing a tradition of giving back to the community. Each year, Viking Liquor receives a limited allocation of sought-after bourbons and chooses to auction them off to benefit local charities. This year’s event raised $32,502.68. On Dec.

Sauk County Institute of Leadership celebrates class’s halfway mark with immersive leadership experience

Historical Perspective: Log Cabins — one of history’s oldest architectural structures

Log cabins constructed for human habitation originated in northern and eastern Europe during the Bronze Age (over 4,000 years ago). Swedish settlers brought the knowledge of their construction to America in the 1600s.

Sauk Prairie VFW donates to food pantry


On December 10, Sauk Prairie Veterans of Foreign Wars Lachmund Cramer Post 7694 Commander Richard “Dick” Nolden presented a check in the amount of $500 to Kris Ballweg, director of Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry. The presentation was at the Food Pantry in Sauk City. Also present on the left was Bart Mauch, Post 7694 Veterans Service Officer.

St. John Lutheran Church, 307 Sixth St., Reedsburg, will hold a blood drive starting at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 3 in the fellowship hall.

This is a Versiti drive, and all blood types are needed and welcome.
