Time is running out to send us your letters about the Spring Election.
All letters about the election or specific candidates must be received by the end of business day Monday, March 22, to be included in next week’s Indy.
As with past elections, we will not run election-related opinion content the week prior to April 6.
What’s the mechanism in place that would enable “fair comparisons” between schools? What’s the range of avenues for citizens to access school performance data both offline and online? What’s the critical data that would allow citizens to ensure financial and pedagogical accountability?
It has been a difficult year. For 12 months and a few days we’ve watched loved ones die and wondered if we would be next in line. Yes, we could have been informed two months earlier, and vaccine creations and testing could have probably led to earlier vaccinations. However, that ship has sailed.
Our school district has lost 200 students. I would like to know why these families left. Did families leave to find work to put food on the table? Did parents feel the virtual learning models provided by our district were inadequate?
On Tuesday, April 6th, all voters living within the Reedsburg School District can select new members for the Reedsburg School Board. JR Colvin and Sonny Hyde are two such candidates. I know them both personally, and would like to share why I support them.
