Letters to the editor

Editor:   Interesting to read in [October 22 issue of] Star News that Sauk Prairie has seen a rise in COVID-19 cases by 35 - 55% surge in one month, but NOT surprising.

Your Right to Know: DOC should be more open about COVID-19

Gretchen Schuldt

In late October, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections finally disclosed the number of COVID-19 deaths among people incarcerated in state prisons. That’s good news. Morais.  This story about family and fate tracks a young boy from his humble beginnings in India before finally settling in France, following his improbable success as a Parisian chef.

In the midst of all this the most important election of our lifetime will be held in just a matter of days. Our expectations for day-to-day life in 2020 have changed dramatically.

Take Time: Time off

When spoken by your employer, the words “time off” mean a lot toward the idea of resting and clearing one’s mind. We find ourselves so busy that too often we work ourselves to the point of some serious negative health conditions.
