Weston came into last Tuesday at 6-4 in the Ridge and Valley on the baseball diamond and still hopeful of a top three finish in the conference, but the Silver Eagles fell to 6-6 with losses at De Soto and North Crawford in a span of three days.

River Valley’s hopes of winning the SWC title in girls soccer took a hit last Thursday as the Blackhawks, in need of a win vs. first place Platteville/Lancaster, had to settle for a 0-0 tie in action at River Valley High School.

River Valley’s boys golf squad is eyeing up the end of season SWC Meet which will be held this week on Tuesday at the Reedsburg Country Club with a start time of 9 a.m.

The Blackhawks were in position to win an SWC softball game Friday with a 1-0 sixth inning lead over Lancaster but the Flying Arrows rallied for a 6-2 win, dropping Valley to 2-7 in league play. A couple of errors, followed by a couple of doubles got the inning rolling for Lancaster, now 2-0 vs. Valley this season.

The Beaver softball team is on the process of closing out the process of closing out the regular season schedule and looking to the WIAA Tournament series with a busy schedule over the last few days.

Reedsburg did some good things this week on the soccer pitch but came up short in losses to Sauk and Tomah before posting a convincing win at Sparta.

The 41^st Paul Rosholt Reedsburg Athletic Club Golf Outing is set for Thursday, June 11, at the Reedsburg Country Club. This is the largest fundraising event of the year for the club and raises approximately $15,000 annually for Reedsburg Athletics.

In the first year of a newly formed co-op at the varsity level, Ithaca and Weston Softball are celebrating a conference championship in the Ridge and Valley as I/W clinched a share of the championship after a split in a doubleheader Thursday at Wauzeka in a battle of conference unbeatens coming into the day.

It was one of the best games this season for the River Valley Blackhawks on the baseball diamond last Thursday with Valley posting a 6-4 SWC win on home turf vs. Prairie du Chien. Quincy Blakley pitched four scoreless innings for R-V while Keagan gave up only one earned run in his three innings of work on the mound.

The Reedsburg Beaver Volleyball Program will be hosting two volleyball camps this summer. Registration is underway for both camps.
