Hydrant flushing, water main maintenance underway

Reedsburg residents will see Utility workers flushing hydrants and working on water mains in October.

Flushing is necessary to ensure adequate water flow and pressure. It also removes sediment from the pipes, which maintains water clarity and quality.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Reedsburg Edward Jones donates $1,000 to school district

Reedsburg’s Edward Jones Financial Advisor recently donated $1,000 to the Reedsburg School District to provide new water bottles for students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Due to COVID-19, schools have gone to touchless bottle filling stations instead of traditional fountains.

Volunteers turn out for Great Steak Challenge

La Valle Legion holds chicken dinner

The La Valle American Legion will serve a chicken dinner on Oct. 3.

Food will be available via carryouts only from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the legion.

Meals will cost $12 and include a half a chicken, potato salad, applesauce and a cookie.
