There are a great many in our community who receive Social Security Distributions.

Those distributions are crucial for the continued well-being of our elders.

Once again, President “F.A.” (I’ll explain that later) and some of his down the rabbit hole followers are bashing immigrants.  Facts show that immigrants commit fewer crimes than white Americans, pay billions in taxes, and get none of the benefits. These are facts, not “FIX News” lies.

One of my friends proved you are never too old to learn something new.

 The Reedsburg Area Helping Hands 2025 Christmas Program has been completed, with distribution to families taking place last week. This year 449 children and 186 families benefited from this program.  

Here’s a little story that amuses me.

I ran into a woman I sort of know at the post office not long ago. (I run into people I know people I know at the post office every time I get the mail – you do, too. It happens all the time in our neck of the woods and it’s the best part of picking up mail at the post office.)

As a guy who made a living writing my own words and editing the work of others, I am biased and I know it on the topic of reading.

Our planet is infested with parasites. Parasites live off their hosts, weakening and sometimes killing them. Parasites don't want to kill their hosts, because they are dependent on those hosts. Pet owners are familiar with the ticks and fleas and worms that live off their animals.

No worries.

I am not concerned with the “Supreme Court” and their “rulings” which give Donald Trump more dictatorial powers.

Why?

1. Donald Trump will not be around much longer. He is old. His term will run out.

Stores were packed this past weekend, perhaps in anticipation of the nasty weather that was forecast for this week and weekend. It’s also possible people just didn’t want to wait until the last minute and then have to rush for gifts and ingredients.
