Older drivers have more time to renew driver’s license

An extension has been granted for certain motorists through the Wisconsin DMV.

Drivers over age 60 may be able to renew online without incurring a late fee through Jan. 21, 2021.

The department made the decision in light of news that older adults are more susceptible to COVID-19.

Drivers over age 65 are still required to renew in person, but they can take steps to reduce the length of their visit. Go to wisconsindmv.gov/olderdrivers for more information on what you can do to speed up your renewal.
