It was a three-games-in-five-days scenario for the Reedsburg Pirates Home Talent Baseball team this past week, highlighted by a weekend win at Sauk-Prairie.
River Valley still hasn’t lost a conference match this season on the soccer pitch but the Blackhawk girls still haven’t locked up the championship of the Southwest Wisconsin Conference after a 1-1 tie at Prairie du Chien on Thursday.
River Valley saved some of the best golf of the season for last week at the end of season SWC Meet and those efforts were good enough for the Blackhawks to win the team title over the 18 holes at Galena, Illinois last Thursday after the event was postponed from Tuesday.
Track and field athletes from River Valley High School had to wait two days to compete for conference titles last week as the SWC Meet was moved from Tuesday to Thursday. River Valley was unable to claim any championships at Dodgeville, but several entries did perform well.
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for Sauk Prairie’s baseball team this spring.
After a 5-6 start, the Eagles uncorked a seven-game winning streak, followed by a four-game losing streak to close out the Badger Small Conference season.
It’s the highest finish in many years in conference play for Reedsburg Beaver boys golf in 2025 as Reedsburg completed play for this season in Badger Small this past week with the end-of-season meet at Wild Rock, near Wisconsin Dells.

Clayton Lee of Ithaca/Weston was perhaps the biggest star of the night at the Ridge and Valley Conference Track and Field Meet at North Crawford High School last Thursday. The meet was moved to Thursday due to inclement weather on Tuesday last week but it didn’t appear to slow down Lee who won 3 conference championships on the boys side.
Reedsburg was an easy winner, 6-1, in the final dual match of the high school boys tennis season at Mauston last week after Mauston had re-scheduled the matchup on multiple occasions.
Reedsburg’s All-State shortstop, Kylee Molitor, has made history on the softball diamond for the second week in a row and the Beavers also have now won 6 games in a row.
