The River Valley community gathered to celebrate 100 graduates Saturday, May 30, in Spring Green, as the Class of 2026 earned its diplomas. A bright summer morning dawned as friends and family from the region made their way to the high school. The gymnasium was at full capacity as each graduate walked across the stage to receive a diploma and flowers. River Valley School District Superintendent Loren Glasbrenner did the traditional “turning of the tassel” for each graduate, moving it from the right to the left side on their mortarboards in recognition of their graduation. Sauk Prairie High School’s outdoor graduation ceremony on Friday, May 22, was picture-perfect — with clear skies, comfortable temperatures and a setting sun in the west—and ended, as it has as of late, with a spectacular fireworks show. The 202 graduates, identified by faculty speaker and English teacher Alex Dorman as being the “least sentimental” she has seen, more or less took their graduation in stride before a packed Eagles Stadium.
