Raymond “Clemy” White, age 93, of Arena, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026. Ray was born on November 29, 1932, to Edward and Agnes (Powers) White of Arena. He was one of 10 children and was the last surviving sibling. Ray graduated from Arena High School and proudly served three years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, where he served as a firefighter. In 1956, Ray married the love of his life, Darlene Richardson. This October, they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage. Together, they purchased a three-bedroom schoolhouse, which became the loving home where they raised their four children: Allan White (Vicki), Barb Weier (John), Peggy Hardtke (Hans), and Larry White. Ray was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He worked for Gabe’s Underground Utility and eventually InterCon, where he retired after an incredible 50 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed many things including, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, playing cards and having a few cold beers on “the hill”. Ray will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and the life he built with Darlene. He leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and commitment that will continue through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Darlene White of Arena; his daughter, Barb (John) Weier of Ridgeway; brother-in-law, Bob (Bonnie) Richardson; sister-in-law, Charlotte Richardson and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Vicki White; a son-in-law, Hans Hardtke, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy Hardtke; sons, Larry and Allan White; grandson, Joseph White; 7 brothers, Bob (Marie), Earl (Dorris), Dick (Janet), Paul (Margaret), Jack (Irene), Charlie (Tootie), Bernard (Bernice); 2 sisters, Helen (Leo) Loy, Marion (Stan) Butler; 3 brothers-in-law, Howard (Darlene) Richardson, Jim (Joyce) Richardson, Jack Richardson; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary (Dan) Boone and Betty Richardson.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green, WI from 10 A.M. -12:00 A.M. followed by military graveside rites conducted by the Arena Ewing-Olson VFW Post #9336 at the Hyde Cemetery at 12:30 P.M.
