Join us for Jewelry in June at the Ruth Culver Community Library! Supplies will be provided to make jewelry items of your choice. Open to ages 18 and up. SUMMER KICK-OFF PARTY
Tuesday, June 9, 11:30am-1:30pm
Join Miss Bethany and Miss Tori after school at Marion Park for popsicles and games to start the summer! Stop by, pop some bubbles, play at the park, and get signed-up for summer reading with both libraries. If there is inclement weather, please visit us at either or both libraries to get signed up!
 
TEEN TUESDAY: COTTON CANDY & GAMES

We’re firing up the cotton candy machine to celebrate the start of summer at the Ruth Culver Community Library! We’ll also have games and Legos out. Teen Tuesdays are intended for grades 6-12.
 
ROPE WARRIOR
Monday, June 15, 1:00pm
Come witness a heart-pounding performance by David Fisher, AKA, The Rope Warrior, at the Ruth Culver Community Library! He will be wowing the crowd with a variety of jump rope stunts. David holds 3 world records and has performed on a number of stages including America’s Got Talent.
 
TEEN TUESDAY: EGG HUNT AND ICE CREAM
Tuesday, June 16, 6:45pm
Hunt around the Ruth Culver Community Library for eggs containing mystery prizes. Once the eggs are found, enjoy ice cream in the community room.  Teen Tuesdays are intended for grades 6-12. Contact Meagan with allergy concerns.
 
VA SAVE SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAM

The Ruth Culver Community Library is partnering the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs to offer VA S.A.V.E. Training, a free, life-saving program that will help you act with care and compassion if you come across a Veteran who is in crisis or having thoughts of suicide.
 
STORYTIMES  
Tuesday, June 9 and Thursday, June 11, 10:00am
Join Miss Bethany for movement, music, and stories at storytimes at the Ruth Culver Community Library! Storytimes recommended for children ages 3+ are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 am.
 
BOUNCING BABIES
Fridays, June 5 & June 12, 8:30am
Bouncing Babies at the Ruth Culver Community Library is held Friday mornings at 8:30am, before the library officially opens. Join Miss Bethany for a storytime geared for ages 0-2 focusing on songs, fingerplays, and short books to grow their minds and motor skills. TINY TOTS
Fridays, June 5 & June 12, 10:00am
Geared towards ages 2-3, Tiny Tots is held at the Ruth Culver Community Library Fridays at 10:00am and focuses on shorter books, puppets, songs, and movement activities with a playtime afterwards.  This storytime is a good option for those who have outgrown our Bouncing Babies storytime but may not be quite ready for the longer books in our regular storytimes.
 
SUMMER READING CHALLENGES
June 9 - August 15, 2026
This summer the Ruth Culver Community Library encourages everyone to participate in our summer reading challenges for all ages!  All you have to do is read whatever, wherever and whenever you like! Any reading counts. Registration begins at the library June 9. Visit pdslibrary.org/summer-2026 for more information.
 
LIBRARY HOURS
The Ruth Culver Community Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 8:00pm, Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Lobby pick up and curbside service remain available to those who wish to use them.  Call the library at 608-643-8318 with questions.
