Viking Village Foods holds Harvest Fest

A local grocery store will usher in autumn with a barbecue and sales.

Viking Village Foods’ Harvest Fest will take place Oct. 2 through 4.

It kicks off with the one-say seafood sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday, the Kretschnmar BBQ Rib Cookout will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests may drive through or walk up for meals. Dinners include a half rack of ribs, roasted potatoes, vegetables and corn bread for $10. Rib-only meals are available; cost is $12 for a full rack and $6 for a half rack.

The outdoor produce tent will also be up from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

The event includes sales throughout the weekend.
