Sauk County Drug Task Force arrests 2 on numerous charges
Two men were taken into custody Sept. 18 amid an investigation by the Sauk County Drug Task Force, Sauk County Sheriff’s Office and Sauk County Emergency Response Team.
These law-enforcement groups executed a search warrant at the Lighthouse Cove Condominiums in the village of Lake Delton following an ongoing investigation into the sales of illegal narcotics, notably meth. The warrant turned up two suspects who were initially detained and later arrested, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
Timothy E. Savannah, 28, of Waupun, faces charges of manufacturing/delivering amphetamine, possession of THC-second offense, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of designer drugs with intent to sell, possession of heroin with intent to sell, burglary to a building or dwelling, maintaining a drug trafficking place and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Gary A. Scott, 39, of Windsor, is looking at charges for possession of THC-second offense and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
During the search, law enforcement seized two loaded firearms, marijuana, heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, U.S. currency, drug packaging material, computers, digital scales and cell phones, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sauk County Drug Task Force includes officers from the Sauk County Sheriff's Office, Lake Delton Police Department, Sauk Prairie Police Department, Baraboo Police Department, Reedsburg Police Department, Spring Green/Plain Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and Ho-Chunk Police Department.
