Reedsburg woman arrested for making threats, causing damage

A Reedsburg woman was taken into custody on numerous charges.
Samantha J. Day, 22, faces charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and threats to a law enforcement officer stemming from an Aug. 30 incident. According to the Reedsburg Police Department, officers were dispatched at around 4:34 a.m. for a report of an intoxicated female acting suspiciously in the 200 block of South Park Street. They located Day and took her to a nearby hospital, where she started yelling profanities at health care workers and trying to damage equipment. She was then arrested for disorderly conduct.
On the way to the Sauk County Jail, Day damaged equipment inside the police squad, according to the Reedsburg Police Department. She also made threats to harm the officer when he wasn’t at work.
