William (Bill) Patton

William (Bill) Patton passed away on January 15, 2020 at Agrace Hospice Care with his children by his side. Both his son Tim and daughter Eva were with him in his final months and moments. Bill is preceded in death by Judy, his dear friend and wife of 50 years. Bill was born in St. Paul Minnesota on February 14, 1937 to his parents Cletus and Vina Patton and sister the late Patricia O’Toole. Bill chose Mazomanie as his final home, moving his family here over 40 years ago for the beauty of the land and wonderful community. Bill enjoyed the fall and holidays with friends and family, spending his days out walking in the warm and sunny winter days this November and December. While out walking, he loved catching up with friends and neighbors. He especially loved maintaining the Lake Marion Trail so that others could share in his joy of walking. The photo is from one of Bill’s many train adventures that he enjoyed so much throughout his life - this one in Alaska on the way to Denali National Park with his kids last summer.  Bill’s final wish was to give back to the earth. He is buried at the Natural Path Sanctuary in Verona, Wisconsin so he can, as he liked to say with a big smile, “feed a tree”. Bill is remembered by his family for his warmth, kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. We are grateful for the care, kindness, support, and generosity so many have shared with our Dad. Thank you.
