Mueller Pitch was officially dedicated last Thursday night before the evenings’ competition began. From the humble beginnings of 5 people gathering in the basement of a local home following the 1994 World Cup up through today with hundreds of children and parents, the River Valley Soccer Association (RVSA) has strived to help local families learn and enjoy the great game of soccer. Scott and Tami Mueller, with their daughter Amanda, supported this cause not only through significant financial contributions, but more importantly selflessly devoting themselves to growing the youth soccer program in the River Valley area. Throughout their time in River Valley, the Mueller’s dedicated their time and energy to anyone who needed help. RVSA was one of the many local organizations to receive that enthusiasm and devotion. The campaign started as “Light the Pitch” in 2013 with fundraising taking many forms over the years (lemonade stands, pizza sales, calendar raffles, memorial brick purchases, and cash donations). The project has transformed to the artificial stadium turf field working with the River Valley School District.
