In November, Greg Zeszotarski is the featured artist in the Community Room Gallery at the Spring Green Library. He tells about himself, “You may or may not remember me from the Spring Green Art shows where I picked up the moniker “ The Cow Guy.” My display consisted mostly of cows in humorous sometimes outrageous costumes and doing some very weird things like baking ‘cow pies” and even flying airplanes. Well, the years passed and the Cow Guy got old and doing the outdoor art shows was no longer in the cards, but like they say once an artist, always an artist. I watched a TED talk recently that informed, ‘Don’t hoard your creations we need your art.’
So, for better or worst here it is. My latest work is of landscapes and the natural environment, but my interest and ideas are constantly evolving. Being an avid cyclist, many of my paintings are inspired by what I view as I pedal through the River Valley country side during the warmer months. I also get ideas from biking videos I watch while on the indoor spin bike when the weather is too horrible for outdoor biking. These videos allow me access to sights I will likely never visit in person.”
Greg’s paintings may be viewed during regular library hours whenever the Community Room is not in use. Please ask for the key at the circulation desk.
